Dr. Grant McFadden, a professor in the Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology in the College of Medicine, stopped by this month’s Cancer Connections at HealthStreet to discuss Oncolytic cancer. He discussed in his presentation how viruses interact with the host immune system to treat human cancers.

Cancer Connections hosted at HealthStreet is a community program open to all cancer survivors, patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals. Meeting topics include nutrition, physical and emotional therapy, current research and home care. The group meets at HealthStreet, 2401 SW Archer Road, on the fourth Wednesday of every month from noon to 1:00 p.m., and features prominent cancer health care professionals.
