October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!

There are many different symptoms of breast cancer and many women report no symptoms at all.  This is why mammograms and breast exams are extremely important tools for detecting it early.

  • More than 200,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the United States
  • Most diagnoses are among women over 50, but 10% are younger than 45
  • Many factors can influence risk such as age, genetics (BRCA1 & BRCA2), diet and environment
