HealthStreet is collaborating with the Equal Access Clinic Network, a network of student-run free healthcare clinics established by the University of Florida College of Medicine, to provide community members free eye exams.
“We are always excited to create partnerships such as the one with EAC that provide the resources of the university to community members who truly need access to health services,” HealthStreet Manager, Vicki Piazza said.
HealthStreet contributed examination rooms with eye equipment to the Equal Access Clinic Ophthalmology team to provide six families non-invasive tests for visual sharpness, glasses prescription and eye pressure. HealthStreet will continue to host the Equal Access Ophthalmology clinic the last Tuesday of every month.
HealthStreet has a large facility with various rooms to meet the needs of community organizations, UF programs, and UF researchers. For more information on rooms available, see our Facility page or contact Teina Phillips at phillipsteina@ufl.edu or 352-294-4880.
