Survivors of Cancer Advisory Network (SCAN) Mentorship Program

Cancer survivors volunteer their time to give newly diagnosed people hope. These volunteers have been where you are now and understand the fear, confusion and anxiety that overwhelms every day since the diagnosis. It can be as little as one phone conversation to multiple face-to-face visits with a mentor, that you each agree.

Our mentors are trained to provide information, resources, and one-on-one peer support to those who are facing or living with cancer as well as those care giving. Efforts are made to match the volunteers to the mentees by criteria that are covered in our application process such as diagnosis, treatment type, age, and all is free of charge.
