Community Health Workers

Community Health Workers Needed!
If interested in working with HealthStreet for a couple of our initiatives, please call us or send us your resume. We are hiring folks like you from the community!
NARCAN® SAVES LIVES

NARCAN® Nasal Spray may counteract the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose. Since most accidental overdoses occur in a home setting, it was developed for family, friends, and caregivers – with no medical training required.
HealthStreet has partnered with Florida Department of Children and Families to distribute NARCAN® in our community. Call 352-294-4880 today to get your own NARCAN® Nasal Spray.
Every month, HealthStreet hosts a variety of services, Community Health Worker outreach efforts, classes, support groups, and events! Check out our May calendar.

Here are a few studies that you can participate in now:

Eligible participants must be male, 50-72 years of age, have chronic pain, and have not used marijuana in the past 30 days.
+The AIM2ACT study is testing the effectiveness of a smartphone intervention to help control asthma among early adolescents. Eligible participants must be 18-70 years of age and caregivers of at least one child 12-15 years of age who have been diagnosed with persistent asthma.
+The UCOPE study is examining the effects of oxytocin on chronic pain in older adults with knee osteoarthritis. Eligible participants must be 40 years of age or older with knee pain for 6 months or more.
+The Child Hearing Loss study is examining vocabulary and speech learning in children with or without hearing loss. Eligible participants must be caregivers of at least one child 4-6 years of age with hearing loss.

Eligible participants must be 65 years of age or older, currently prescribed medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and high glucose levels, not exercise regularly, and have trouble with memory and thinking.
