Our Community, Our Health Virtual Town Hall

Dr. Fred Southwick, an infectious disease expert with over 30 years of experience, will be providing basic facts about COVID-19 with regards to how the virus causes disease, spreads, the symptoms, and briefly, treatment and prevention.

Dr. Southwick will also be providing advice on how to navigate the COVID-19 epidemic to protect yourself, family and friends.

Clothing, Toiletry, Food and Naloxone Drive-Up Hours

Clothing and Toiletry Necessities
We want to ensure you have the items necessary to maintain good personal health and hygiene. 

Free Naloxone To Save Lives
We remain committed to providing this powerful medication that reverses the effects of opioid overdose.

Food Security For Families
We have paired up with Working Food to provide meals for families who call HealthStreet at
(352) 294-4880 to reserve their box.

Each box includes:

• perishable chef prepared meals with farm-fresh ingredients

• serves four to five people

• can be frozen to last longer!

When? Wednesday, April 22nd, 1-4PM

Where? HealthStreet Parking Lot,

We will be updating these hours weekly, as they will vary based on staff availability

HealthStreet Services

HealthStreet is a community engagement program that connects community members to medical and social services and opportunities to participate in health research at the University of Florida. By completing a health assessment with one of our Community Health Workers, we can provide you with information about low or no-cost services, including eye exams, mental health counseling, dance classes, cooking classes, health support groups, and a clothing closet and toiletry pantry. Your voice is important, and you can be heard by becoming a HealthStreet member!
