It is for women who live in Alachua County, are 50 to 80 years of age, who have smoked the equivalent of 1 pack of cigarettes for at least 25 years. February is National Children's Dental Health Month which promotes good oral health for children. Establishing dental health habits at an early age and scheduling regular dental visits helps children get a good start on a lifetime of healthy teeth and gums. Interested in participating in research?

Here are a few studies that you can participate in now:

+The Speech Development in Children Study is examining how children learn to recognize speech. Eligible participants must be children 3-12 years of age with a history of ear infections or reading problems. 

+ The Hispanic Americans Older Adults Study is examining the effects of sociocultural factors, such as perceived discrimination, ethnic identity, perceived injustice, and acculturation on Hispanic American older adults with musculoskeletal pain (MSK). Eligible participants must be 60 years of age or older, identify as Latino/Hispanic, report musculoskeletal pain on at least half of the days in the past 3 or more months, and speak and understand English.
