For HealthStreet's 100th weekly newsletter, we're focusing on children in our community. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted our children's lives as much as our own. Honest conversations with our children about changes in their lives are important.

Kids have felt isolated whether meeting in-person or online. Know  Therefore, it is important to be familiar with how children express stress. An article published by Boys and Girls Clubs of America provides examples of various signs of physical, emotional, and behavioral stress in children to be aware of.  An article by Emma Singer provides 21 examples to help keep your children entertained during these times. Most of these are virtual and affordable.

UF’s Health's Pediatric Department also provides community and basic need resources that could be beneficial. Check in your local area for ideas and activities for your children.
