National Stress Awareness Month
April is National Stress Awareness Month. During this month it is important to recognize the signs of stress, learn healthy coping strategies and prioritize your well-being.
Stress can impact your body, mind, emotions, and actions. If left unaddressed, stress can lead to various health issues, including heart disease, insomnia and digestive problems, as well as mental health concerns like anxiety and depression.
The American Heart Association suggests multiple ways to reduce stress and strain on the body and brain such as: setting a regular bedtime routine, meditation, daily physical activity and taking time to connect with family and friends.
Below is the self-reported current level of high stress at baseline among HealthStreet members by self-reported age since the pandemic on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is 'Not At All' and 10 is 'Completely.' The percent of members self-reporting high stress peaks at 45-54 years of age.

Consider Donating to HealthStreet
Together, we can make a difference!
Your donation will directly support essential services and truly make a difference in our community. Every dollar you contribute helps us take steps towards reducing disparities that affect so many.
Just imagine the impact of your generosity: for $25, you can provide 15 personal care items, ensuring dignity and basic hygiene for those in need. With $50, we can purchase 16 daily bus passes to RTS, giving individuals reliable transportation to access vital jobs, healthcare, and services. And with $100, we can fuel the vehicles that our Community Health Workers use with 32 gallons of gasoline, enabling them to reach those in need and provide critical referrals and support.
We are also asking for direct donations of personal care items such as: shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, shaving kits & cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, deodorant, floss, pads, tampons, disposable wipes, hairbrushes and diapers.
Another way that you can make an impact in our community is by donating to the HealthStreet Clothing Closet! There is an ongoing need of the following items: men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing, baby clothing, coats, gloves, beanies, scarfs and blankets.
Clothing and personal care items can be directly donated at our HealthStreet location anytime between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., so we can place these items into the hands of those who need them.
Let’s join forces and create an extraordinary impact together!
Thank you for your kindness!

Best Baked Chicken Breast This week's recipe is for the best baked chicken! It's simple, quick and certainly delicious option for any meal of the day. Feel free to use the seasoning recipe below or use your favorite blend of herbs and spices!
Ingredients:
- Chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano (or favorite herb/seasoning)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Black pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Add seasonings: In a medium baking dish, place chicken, drizzle with oil and sprinkle with smoked paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt and pepper. There is no need for making the mixture in a separate small bowl.
- Rub: Using tongs or hands, toss chicken around right in the baking dish. Then arrange in a single layer.
- Bake: Bake chicken breasts in the oven at 450 degrees F for 25 minutes (under 2 inch thickness) to 35 minutes (2 inches and over thick), or until instant read thermometer inserted in the thickest part reads 150 degrees F.
- Rest: Remove baked chicken breast from the oven, cover with aluminum foil or silicone lid, and let chicken rest for 10 minutes for the juices to settle. After, slice against the grain.
