World Cancer Support Month stands as a beacon of solidarity and hope for those affected by cancer worldwide. This dedicated month serves as a reminder of the immense strength, resilience, and compassion that unite communities facing this challenging disease. At HealthStreet, we offer cancer-related support groups both in-person and via Zoom. Check out our calendar for upcoming events.
Below is the self-reported lifetime history of cancer by race and gender among HealthStreet members. The percentage of self-reported lifetime history of skin cancer is highest among White men. The percent of self-reported lifetime history of breast cancer is highest among Black/African American women.

The Pantry Gourmet
In celebration of our new food pantry, we're thrilled to introduce "The Pantry Gourmet," a fresh new recipe series in our newsletter. Discover quick and easy recipes made with items community members can get from our food pantry. Check out the first recipe of the series below:
Meal Prep Pesto Chicken and Veggies
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- salt, to taste
- pepper, to taste
- 1 lb green beans
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup basil pesto
Instructions:
- Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat, then add the chicken thighs. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink in the center, then remove from the pan. Slice into strips.
- Add the green beans to the same pan and cook until tender-crisp.
- Return the chicken strips to the pan, then add the tomatoes and pesto. Stir until fully incorporated.
- Serve immediately or divide into 4 food storage containers and store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
