National Give Something Away Day
National Give Something Away Day is celebrated each year on July 15, and in honor of this special day, we encourage our readers to consider supporting HealthStreet. Every contribution—big or small—helps strengthen our community and creates meaningful opportunities to make a difference. Since 2011, HealthStreet has provided free access to valuable resources, including blood pressure screenings, toiletries, food pantry assistance, and clothing through our community closet. These services are made possible through the generosity of community partners, donors, and volunteers who share our commitment to improving lives. Whether you choose to give through a monetary donation, clothing and toiletry items, or by volunteering your time, your support helps us continue our mission of connecting people with the resources they need. Together, we can make a lasting impact in our community. Thank you for your generosity and support!

Roasted Red Potatoes with Dijon Vinaigrette
These roasted red potatoes are super hands off and can be dressed up in tons of different ways such as having them tossed in fresh vinaigrette! Ingredients:
- 4 extra large red potatoes, cut into ½ inch dice
- Olive oil
- Kosher salt
- Fresh cracked black pepper
- 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard
- 1 ½ teaspoons white wine vinegar
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh oregano
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and add the potatoes on top.
- Drizzle the potatoes with olive oil and season well with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper. Use your hands to toss the potatoes on the sheet to coat evenly with the oil and seasoning. Spread them out evenly on the baking sheet and place in the oven to roast for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, make the mustard vinaigrette. In a small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, mustard, garlic, and oregano.
- When the potatoes are done (they should be tender when pierced with a fork and slightly golden) transfer them to a large serving bowl and pour the dressing over top. Toss to coat, taste them, and season as needed with extra salt and pepper. Enjoy right away while still warm!

Consider Donating to HealthStreet
Together, we can make a difference!
Your donation will directly support essential services and truly make a difference in our community. Every dollar you contribute helps us take steps towards reducing disparities that affect so many.
Just imagine the impact of your generosity: for $25, you can provide 15 personal care items, ensuring dignity and basic hygiene for those in need. With $50, we can purchase 16 daily bus passes to RTS, giving individuals reliable transportation to access vital jobs, healthcare, and services. And with $100, we can fuel the vehicles that our Community Health Workers use with 25 gallons of gasoline, enabling them to reach those in need and provide critical referrals and support.
We are also asking for direct donations of personal care items such as: shampoo, conditioner, bar soap, body wash, shaving kits & cream, toothpaste, toothbrushes, combs, deodorant, floss, pads, tampons, disposable wipes, hairbrushes and diapers.
Another way that you can make an impact in our community is by donating to the HealthStreet Clothing Closet! There is an ongoing need of the following items: men's clothing, women's clothing, children's clothing, baby clothing.
Clothing and personal care items can be directly donated at our HealthStreet location anytime between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on weekdays, so we can place these items into the hands of those who need them.
Let’s join forces and create an extraordinary impact together!
Thank you for your kindness!
