National Arthritis Awareness Month
May is National Arthritis Awareness Month. Celebrating this month provides an opportunity to learn more about different types of arthritis, their causes, symptoms, and potential treatments and to share resources and information.Based on data from our community (HealthStreet members), here we show self-reported lifetime history of arthritis by sex and age. More women than men, and more women 60 years of age and older, self-reported a lifetime history of arthritis.In pie graphs, we also show the percent of HealthStreet members reporting lifetime histories with and without arthritis, and with and without a doctor visit during the last 12 months, by sex. |

Become a Volunteer Crisis Line Counselor
The Alachua County Crisis Center is holding an 8-week Crisis Line Counselor training program starting June 1st, 2024. Volunteers will complete eighty hours of in-depth training in active listening, crisis intervention, and suicide prevention. Submit your application here. |
