National Walking Day April 7, 2021

Today, April 7th, is National Walking Day! This day is to remind people of the health benefits of taking a walk. Wear your sneakers, or take them with you, to work and take a 30-minute walk at some point throughout your day.

Here are some great ways to make those 30-minutes more enjoyable:

-Wear comfortable clothes

-Invite a friend

-Make sure to stretch those muscles

-Drink plenty of water

-Make sure you have good posture

April 5th to 11th is National Public Health Week, which is a time to recognize public health achievements and highlight health issues that are important to our community. Do something for your neighbors this week like donate food, volunteer and get vaccinated.
