NARCAN® SAVES LIVES

NARCAN® Nasal Spray may counteract the life-threatening effects of an opioid overdose. Since most accidental overdoses occur in a home setting, it was developed for family, friends, and caregivers - with no medical training required.

Research Study Opportunities

Below are a few studies that you can participate in now:

+ The Women Helping Women study is testing whether community health workers (CHWs) who recruit and partner with community members facilitate lung cancer screenings. Eligible participants must be female, 50-80 years of age, with a smoking history.

+ The Breathe4Pain study is examining a breathing and attention training treatment for back pain. Eligible participants must be 18-65 years of age and experience chronic lower back pain.

+ The IMPACT study is examining joint pain during movement in African Americans. Eligible participants must be 55-90 years of age, African American, and have had knee pain for at least 3 months or longer.

+ The AIM2ACT study is testing the effectiveness of a smartphone intervention to help control asthma among early adolescents. Eligible participants must be caregivers of at least one child 12-15 years of age who has been diagnosed with persistent asthma.

+ The Mind in Motion study is examining how the brain is involved with slowing down as you get older. Eligible participants must be 65 years of age or older, able to walk without assistance, and willing to get an MRI.
